W. L. Raneesha Fernando completed her B.Sc. (Hons) Engineering degree specialized in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in the year 2019. Just after graduation she joined to the same department as a temporary instructor. In July 2019 she was awarded University Senate Research Council (SRC) Scholarship for MSc (by Research) at Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. After completing the MSc, she joined Faculty of Technology, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer in 2022 (December). After that she joined Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya as a Lecturer (Probationary) in the year 2023 (August).
