The Department of Civil Engineering (DCE) at the University of Peradeniya (UoP), with a history
of nearly 75 years, has produced over 7000 civil engineers to-date. The department continues to foster close contact with alumni across the globe and warmly welcome its graduates
to subscribe to the alumni database using the google form below to keep in touch.
Global Alumni Ambassadors are alumni recognized to act as representatives of DCE-UOP within their city, country or region in an honorary capacity.
As an honorary ambassador, their roles may vary based on their interests and expertise, and for example, may include the following:
- Explore opportunities for DCE-UoP staff and students to collaborate with universities or other industries in their area, for example, for research and internships,
- Support towards enhancing career and postgraduate opportunities abroad for young civil engineering graduates,
- Advising DCE-UoP on the changing and evolving global outlook and opportunities for civil engineers,
- Participate and provide expertise in physical or online meetings and conferences,
- Identify and connect with alumni and other partners living in their area.
