CERPS-Home

The Engineering Research Unit originally established in 1990 was transformed to the Centre for Engineering Research and Postgraduate Studies in 2001. Since then CERPS, as it came to be known thereafter, has coordinated research activities and postgraduate studies in the Faculty of Engineering, and has been instrumental in the drafting of basic policy framework in this regard along with the Faculty Regulations governing postgraduate studies.

The activities of the Centre are organised along two axes:

The Postgraduate Studies Arm of CERPS, and

The Research Arm of CERPS.

Peradeniya University International Research Sessions ( iPURSE 2019 ,Flyer ) will be held on 11th and 12th September, 2019, at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

University of Peradeniya Scholar wins a prestigious International Award from the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)

Dr. C. S. Bandara of the Department of Civil Engineering received the SLAAS Postgraduate Research Award-2016 (Engineering, Architecture and Surveying). H.E. The President graced the awards ceremony that was held on 5th December 2016 at the BMICH.

Six researchers of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya received the President's Award for Scientific Publications for highly rated scientific research published in the year 2014. H.E. The President graced the awards ceremony that was held on 22nd November 2016 in Colombo.

12th International Conference on the International Institute for Infrastructure Resilience and Reconstruction (IIIRR) was held from 5th to 7th August 2016,at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.
