Dr A. J. Dammika (Dammika Abeykoon) is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Peradeniya. He has already completed ten years of service in the academia and has gained more than five years of construction industry experience as well before commencing the academic career. His main teaching areas includes Structural Mechanics, Structural Dynamics, Design of Steel Structures and Bridge Engineering. His main research interest includes Structural Health Monitoring, steel-concrete composite structures and bridge engineering. Specifically, he has involved with many projects that uses vibration-based damage detection and structural monitoring techniques.
