  • Dr. Shameen Jinadasa is currently a Professor of Department of Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya , Sri Lanka . He earned his BScEng in Civil Engineering from University of Peradeniya and MEng degree from National University of Singapore in Civil Engineering. Subsequently he obtained his PhD from Saitama University , Japan in 2006. Dr. Shameen’s area of expertise is environmental engineering with a special focus on developing sustainable wastewater management technologies for tropical developing countries. Shameen has previous experience coordinating international research projects on Tropical Constructed wetlands and Coastal vegetation for Tsunami Protection in which researchers from Singapore , Japan , New Zealand and Sri Lanka collaborated.
