Dr. Jayasinghe is currently working as a lecturer at Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He received his BSc (Eng) degree (First Class Honours) from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2009 and after that, he worked as a temporary lecturer in the same university for a period of one year. He obtained his Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Structural Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand in 2012. His MEng thesis title was “Development of Hardness Testing Technique for the Evaluation of Localized Yielding in Steel Reinforcement”. And he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan in 2015. His Ph.D. thesis title was “Application of Meta-Modeling to Bridge Structure for Consistent Seismic Response Analysis”. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a projectresearcher at Earthquake Research Institute (ERI), The University of Tokyo for a period six months. His research areas include Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engineering and Finite Element Analysis.
