A session on “Role of Engineers in Application of Water Safety Plans”, organized by the Civil Engineering Society (CES) of the University of Peradeniya was successfully conducted at the Joint Research and Demonstration Center (JRDC) for water technology on the 8th of June at 5.00 pm with the participation of members of the CES. This was the maiden talk for the annual talk series 2022/23, organized by the CES. Further, it was indeed a great pleasure to conduct a session physically after a long stretch of virtual sessions. Eng. Dr. S.K. Weragoda, director of the Joint Research and Demonstration Center for water technology was invited as the resource person for the session and he shared his knowledge and experience with the participants. The CES extends its gratitude to Eng. Dr. S.K. Weragoda for the very informative presentation on “Role of Engineers in Application of Water Safety Plans”.
