The nominal number of credits per semester is 18 and that of a short semester is 9.  The corresponding maximum credits are 24 and 12 respectively.  The courses are divided into Core Courses and Elective Courses.  The Elective Courses are further divided into Technical Elective (TE) Courses and General Elective (GE) Courses.  To claim the degree, one must earn 150 credits where the credit composition under each specialization is given in the student handbook.  The nominal duration of the degree program is 4 years whereas the maximum duration to complete the degree program is 8 years.
