The Faculty of Engineering is proud to announce that Ms. Nilusha Dinali Kohombanarachchi, a graduate of the E19 Batch from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been named the National Winner of the Migara Ratnatunga Trust Award on Industrial Training for University Undergraduates – 2024/2025, awarded by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL).

This prestigious award recognizes the most outstanding engineering trainee selected from undergraduates across universities throughout Sri Lanka, spanning the disciplines of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering. Candidates were evaluated on the quality of their industrial experience, performance during training, depth of learning, and professional development over the training period.

Ms. Kohombanarachchi’s selection as the National Winner reflects the strong foundation in engineering knowledge and professional skills that the Faculty of Engineering cultivates in its students. This achievement brings well-deserved recognition to the University of Peradeniya and stands as a testament to the excellence of its engineering education.
