Vacancies at Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya

Applications are entertained from individuals having a B.Sc. Engineering degree specialized in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree.
Postgraduate qualifications in a Civil Engineering–related area stipulated in the relevant circulars is an essential qualification for Lecturer (Unconfirmed) and Senior Lecturer Grade II / Senior Lecturer Grade I posts. Postgraduate qualification in one or more of the following areas from a reputed university is applicable:

• Fluid Mechanics including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Coastal Engineering
• Structural Engineering
• Highway and Pavement Design
• Building Information Modeling and Artificial Intelligence
• Construction Management
• Materials Science and Engineering
• Civil Engineering Project Management / Economics and Financing

A proven track record of publications since obtaining the first degree, along with relevant field experience in the subject area, is an essential qualification.
Strong language proficiency and effective teaching skills will be added qualifications. Experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching and research and student activities will be an advantage.
