Research & Innovation​

The staff of the department is engaged in research and development activities in a wide range of areas related to mechanical engineering. Wave energy harvesting, robotics and mechatronics, machining technology, alternative fuels and image processing are the key areas of research in the department at the moment. In addition, the department promotes and facilitates the innovative product development activities mostly initiated as undergraduate projects.
