Department-Industry Consultative Committee (DICC) meeting – 2023

The 2023 Department-Industry Consultative Committee (DICC) meeting convened on November 21, 2023, at the A. Thurairajah Conference Room. This collaborative gathering brought together industry leaders and senior engineers from government- and private-sector organizations for fruitful discussions with the academic staff of the Department of Civil Engineering. The meeting featured three insightful presentations:

• Aspects of UG Programme/Revised Curriculum by Prof. C.S. Bandara
• Research and PG Studies by Prof. K.G.N. Nanayakkara
• Enhancing Employment Opportunities for Young Engineering Graduates by Prof. K.K. Wijesundara

Following these presentations, a dynamic discussion session was moderated by Dr. S.K. Navaratnarajah, the coordinator of the Department-Industry Interaction Cell (DIIC). The event served as a platform for meaningful exchanges and strategic dialogue between academia and industry professionals, fostering collaboration and shaping the future of engineering education and employment prospects.
