Intended Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of the course, the students should be able to: ➢ describe the specified important developments in the history of music ➢ describe basic concepts related to music.
Course Content: ➢ Classical Indian and Western systems ➢ Important musicians including great composers of both systems and their work ➢ Musical instruments of Western and Indian systems ➢ Trends in Sri Lankan music ➢ Practical in instrumental or vocal music ➢ Self study assignments
