Biography:

I am engaged in research in applied mathematics – high order finite element methods in particular. Here, I investigate theoretical, computational and application aspects of the p-version finite element method (p-FEM), with emphasis on multigrid solvers, space decomposition methods, convergence theory and open-source software for p-FEM. I am a regular participant and a presenter of the “International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics” (ICIAM) since 2015. ICIAM is the premier international congress in the field of applied mathematics, held every four years under the auspices of the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. In addition to my research in applied mathematics, I am exploring a multitude of other topics including the ancient technology of Sri Lanka, foundations of mathematics and science, philosophy, nature, etc.
