UGC Programme Review

We are pleased to share that the Bachelor of the Science of Engineering Honours in Chemical and Process Engineering programme offered by the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Peradeniya, has been awarded an “A Grade” by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sri Lanka. This recognition follows the UGC Programme Review (2020 cycle) conducted by the Quality Assurance Council in May 2025.

This achievement highlights the department’s strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. It reflects the high standards maintained in curriculum design, teaching and learning practices, research integration, student development, and industry relevance.
