Grade Point Average – GPA: The GPA of a student shall be computed as using the following formula.
where Ci is the credit unit of the ith course, gi is the grade point earned for the course unit, and N is the total number of courses offered.
Re-examinations: A candidate who has obtained a grade lower than a ‘C’ in a course may repeat the examination/coursework in the course concerned. Only one such repetition shall be permitted in any one course. The highest grade awarded at a repeat examination shall be a ‘C’. A candidate whose thesis/dissertation has not been accepted as satisfactory may be permitted to resubmit the thesis in a suitably revised form within the period specified by the Board of Examiners. Where major corrections are required in the thesis, the candidate may be required to be re-examined by the Board of Examiners, following re-submission of the corrected thesis within the period specified by the Board of Examiners.
