The Engineering Design Centre (EDC) of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, offers a comprehensive range of material, geotechnical, environmental, and engineering testing services to government institutions, private organizations, and contractors.
The laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering are equipped with modern testing facilities and are operated by highly qualified academic staff and experienced technical officers. All testing procedures are conducted in accordance with recognized national and international standards to ensure accuracy, reliability, and professional integrity of results.

Materials Laboratory
The Materials Laboratory conducts testing and evaluation of construction materials, including concrete, steel, asphalt, and related products.
