The Engineering Design Centre (EDC) has primarily focused on delivering tailor-made training workshops and capacity-building programs to support both public and private sector organizations. These workshops have significantly benefited key state institutions, including the Department of Education, Department of Agriculture, Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB), and the Department of Technology Education, as well as leading industrial organizations such as MAS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.
In addition, EDC has extended its training services to private sector joint ventures and large-scale initiatives by conducting specialized technical workshops and professional development programs tailored to organizational and sector-specific requirements.
Furthermore, EDC has conducted several collaborative workshops in partnership with the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL), Kandurata Chapter, and Forbes Marshall Pvt. Ltd., Pune, India, strengthening industry–academia linkages and enhancing the professional competencies of engineers and technical personnel.
