Course Contents

Steam Engineering Centre is operated under the Engineering Design Centre at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya in collaboration with Forbes Marshall (Pvt) Ltd, Pune, India. It has developed several modules on steam engineering and programmes are conducted with the aid of specially designed simulation rigs. These are working models with current steam technologies with the ability to simulate various conditions experienced in the field. The three-day programme is designed for senior engineers, factory managers, and operations engineers, while the two-day programme is intended for boiler operators and technical officers.
