Biography

Dr. Suresh Indika is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), Beijing, and his B.Sc. (Engineering) in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Peradeniya.

His research focuses on advanced water and wastewater treatment technologies, particularly membrane processes, isotope hydrology, microalgae biotechnology, and water resource management. He has contributed to over ten peer-reviewed journal publications in leading international journals, including Science of the Total Environment, ACS ES&T Water, and Water.

He has been involved in several international collaborative projects with the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences, addressing critical water quality and groundwater management challenges in Sri Lanka. Dr. Suresh is passionate about sustainable engineering solutions and is committed to fostering innovation, research excellence, and responsible environmental stewardship through teaching and mentorship.
