\nComputing Centre\n<\/h1>
\nThe Computing Centre of the Faculty of Engineering provides computing facilities and technical support to help engineering undergraduates fulfill their academic and computing requirements. It offers computer laboratories, software facilities, technical assistance, and related services to support teaching, learning, practical work, assessments, and other academic activities.\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/section>

\nAbout Us\n<\/h1>
\nCOMPUTING CENTRE The University Computing Centre (CC) was established in 1971 when the\u00a0University acquired an IBM 1130 Computing System, the first in the country. In 1973 the CC was\u00a0moved to a new building. The Computing Centre was absorbed into the newly established\u00a0Department of Computer Sciences in 1985. Since 1995 it has been functioning as an independent\u00a0unit. During the eighties, the Centre began to acquire microcomputers.

The Computing Centre manages and maintains three fully equipped computer laboratories that\u00a0provide access to networked workstations, wireless Internet connectivity, facilities for students using\u00a0personal laptops, and a diverse suite of software applications required for engineering education\u00a0and research. The laboratories support a wide range of academic activities, including teaching,\u00a0practical classes, project work, training programmes, computer-based assessments, and online\u00a0examinations.\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/section>
