To provide theoretical and technical knowledge, skills and techniques required for management of projects throughout the project life cycle.

- Describe the project life cycle, project phases and project management processes.
- Analyse schedules using project planning techniques.
- Interpret and apply contractual procedures, rights and obligations of the parties to the contract.
- Explain the importance of managing change, risks & communication for project success.
- Create a project schedule using project management software for monitoring of projects.

- Project Management Concepts: project definition; project life cycle; project environment; project management knowledge areas; project management processes.
- Initiation Phase: Identify stakeholders; project identification & selection; project charter.
- Planning Phase: Scope; work breakdown structure; activities; durations; resources & cost; schedule development; use of project planning softwares.
- Execution, Monitoring and Controlling Phase: Contract administration; project communications; managing time; cost; quality and risks.
- Closing Phase: Close-out records; final payment; post project evaluation; lessons learned.
