Aim(s): To provide knowledge for engineering undergraduates to conduct themselves ethically.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

  1. Describe the concept of morality.
  2. Explain importance of ethical conduct as a student and as an engineer.
  3. Reflect concept of ethical practice in sustainable development.

Course Content:

  1. Ethics and Morality: Ethics and Morality: Concept of morality; personal morality; common morality; core values.
  2. Academic Integrity as Students: Using information; citation and acknowledgement; plagiarism; impersonation
  3. Professional Ethics: Engineers in the organization; ethics at the workplace; introduction to IESL code of ethics.
