New Building Green Planting Programme
A Green Beginning: Environmental Cleaning & Planting Drive by New Building Members In commemoration of World Environment Day, the New Building community proudly organized a vibrant and meaningful environmental cleaning and air-purifying plant program on June 5, 2025 as a proactive step to combat air pollution in Kandy City.
With the enthusiastic participation of academic and academic support staff residing in the New Building, along with other well-wishing staff from the faculty and a dedicated group of students, a successful cleaning activity was carried out in the area between the New Building and the Drawing Office I (DOI). This initiative was followed by the planting of air-cleaning plants, making the event both impactful and symbolic.
In the same spirit, we kindly request all members of the faculty to refrain from using the New Building premises as a waste dumping area, as we are striving to keep it clean and green for the benefit of all.
