\n         \nWe take immense pride in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Peradeniya for establishing the Department of Engineering Mathematics in 1965 under the visionary leadership of Prof. E.F. Bartholomeusz. It is a privilege that many engineering students around the world do not always have the opportunity to experience this richly designed department. <\/p>\n\n

\n         \nOur main goal is to convey the art of mathematics to engineering undergraduates, equipping you with the essential tools needed to successfully pursue your bachelor\u2019s degree and beyond. As the universal language of science and engineering, mathematics plays a critical role in analyzing complex problems, innovating solutions, and driving progress across various fields. <\/p>\n\n

About us <\/h2>

The Department of Engineering Mathematics at the University of Peradeniya was established in 1965 under the visionary leadership of Prof. E.F. Bartholemuez. His dedication to fostering junior staff, advocating for improved academic facilities, and his genuine concern for students played a pivotal role in shaping the department into what it is today.<\/p>\n

Our core mission is to equip engineering undergraduates with the mathematical knowledge and analytical skills essential for their degree and future careers. Engineering Mathematics is a compulsory subject for all engineering students during their first three years, with an option to continue into the fourth year.
