Recent Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduates Mevan Ekanayake, Hasantha Ekanayake, and Anusha Rathnayake presented the outcomes of their final year project at the 39th annual International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) 2019 held in Yokohama, Japan. IGARSS is the flagship conference of the IEEE Remote Science and Geosciences Society. The paper is titled
“ENHANCED HYPERSPECTRAL UNMIXING VIA NON-NEGATIVE MATRIX FACTORIZATION INCORPORATING THE END MEMBER INDEPENDENCE”. This was the only research paper to present form a Sri Lankan institution at this esteemed international conference.
The work was supervised by Dr. H.M.V.R. Herath, Dr. G.M.R.I. Godaliyadda, and Dr. M.P.B. Ekanayake of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mr. Bhathiya Rathnayake of the Sri Lanka Technological Campus.
