<strong>Review of basis of finite element method: <\/strong>Spring element, Truss, beam elements, CST element.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Analysis of frame buildings: <\/strong>Modeling of frame buildings, apply loads, and analyze under both gravity and lateral loads, automatic design of structural elements and compare with code-based calculations.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Modal analysis: <\/strong>Eigen and Ritz vector analysis.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Finite element formulation of plates and shells: <\/strong>Derivation of stiffness matrix for 4-node quadrilateral element, and higher- order elements; equivalent nodal forces; discretization error and convergence rate.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Application of plates and shells: <\/strong>Modeling of reinforced concrete slabs, walls, foundations, water retaining structures, box culverts, post-tensioned slabs.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Finite element formulation of solid element: <\/strong>Derivation of stiffness matrix for 8-node solid element, and higher-order elements; equivalent nodal forces; discretization error and convergence rate.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
