Nilusha Dinali Kohombanarachchi<\/strong> (E\/19 Batch, Mechatronics Engineering stream) has been awarded National Runner-Up<\/strong> at the Speak Out for Engineering (SOfE) Sri Lanka National Finals<\/strong>, organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speak Out for Engineering (SOfE) is a globally recognized competition designed to challenge young engineers and undergraduates to effectively communicate complex technical concepts, research, and project methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences. Having qualified through the highly competitive preliminary rounds among the Top 5 participants nationwide, Nilusha represented the Faculty of Engineering at the National Finals against peers from leading universities and industry associates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this recognition, Nilusha was invited to present at a special conference organized by the IMechE Sri Lanka Group, graced by the International President of IMechE, CEng Matt Garside<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Mechanical Engineering congratulates Nilusha on showcasing exceptional technical communication and presentation skills, bringing pride to the Department and the University of Peradeniya.
