Dr. Chathurika Dharmagunawardhana joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2015 as a temporary senior lecturer.
She received the International Scholarship for MPhil/PhD from School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, UK in 2010 and was working as a postgraduate researcher in the Communication, Signal Processing and Control (CSPC) group from 2010 and successfully completed her PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in December 2014.
She has been working as an Assistant Lecturer from 2009 to 2010 and also as a Demonstrator/Instructor in 2009 at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. She received her BSc.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with First Class (honors) in 2009 from Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She worked as a Trainee Engineer at Dialog Axiata PLC, Colombo 02, Sri Lanka in 2008. She has also received a Diploma in Computer Studies from Informatics Information Systems, Sri Lanka in 2004. Her main research interests includes Image processing and computer vision, Signal processing, Data mining, Machine learning and Electronics.
