Dr. Chaminda S. Bandara is a lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya. He received his B.Sc. (Engineering) in 2001, M.Sc. (Structural Engineering) in 2011 and Ph.D. (Civil Engineering) in 2015 from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. He was a research fellow at the National Research Council of Sri Lanka from 2011 to 2014. He worked as a Civil Engineer in several national and international organizations in several countries for more than a decade. His research areas include metal fatigue, damage assessment of steel structures, structural health monitoring and blast effects on structures. He has authored two books, published journal papers and presented his research in many national and international conferences. He serves on the review panels of several international journals and on editorial committees of international conferences.
