Prof. Chaminda S. Bandara is a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya. He received his BScEngHons degree in 2001, MScEng(Structural Engineering) degree in 2011 and PhD(Civil Engineering) degree in 2015 from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. He was a research fellow at the National Research Council of Sri Lanka from 2012 to 2014. He worked as a Civil Engineer in several national and international organizations in several countries for more than a decade. His research areas include metal fatigue, damage assessment of structures, structural health monitoring, blast effects on structures, disaster resilience of structures and sustainability aspects of structures.
